What's covered?
There is great local demand for skilled plumbers and the work varies from becoming a domestic plumber to working for a local authority or large construction company. If you are looking for a career change or to improve your prospects our Level 2 Plumbing Diploma (accredited by EAL) can provide you with the essential knowledge you need to start your career as a plumber.
You will study a wide range of skills to enable you to be effective in the industry. These include:
- Measuring
- Cutting
- Bending and jointing of pipe work
- How to use materials such as copper, plastics and mild steel
What do you need?
You will need a minimum of three GCSEs at grade 4 or above including Maths, English and Science.
How you are assessed
You are continually assessed through practical assignments and internal exams.
How Long?
1 Year
What course next?
You could carry on and study NVQ Diploma L2 (if you find a suitable job) or join the industry as a plumbers mate.
What could this lead to?
A Level 3 Diploma or/and a Level 3 Diploma if employed in the industry.
