Spotlight on Apprenticeships
Spotlight on Kiera – Production Assistant Apprentice
Kiera has just finished her Level 3 Production Assistant Apprenticeship and has gone on to stay with her employer in their team.
“Completing my Production Assistant apprenticeship has been an amazing experience, and I can’t thank Mark and the team enough for their unwavering support throughout the last 18 months. Their guidance has helped me develop both professionally and personally, and I’m truly grateful for everything I’ve learned along the way. One of the highlights was being able to work with industry-standard equipment, which gave me invaluable hands-on experience and helped build my confidence in a real-world production environment.“. We are very proud to be working with Microsoft!
Hear from the employer:
“Early this year, we shared an incredible day at Slough & Langley College, speaking to around 70 students about careers in datacentres and announced two apprenticeship opportunities in our Datacentre Operations team. Fast forward – those opportunities turned into success stories! We successfully recruited two talented students from that session at Slough & Langley College, who joined us as apprentices and have thrived in their roles. Their achievements show the impact of connecting education with industry.
This partnership is a perfect example of how we deliver on our community pledge commitments – fostering strong relationships with local colleges and vocational schools to fulfil the Datacenter Academy mission: creating pathways for local talent and building skills for the future.” – Elena Simonova – EMEA Datacenter Academy Lead

Cappagh
Cappagh and our Apprenticeships team have been working closely together for almost a year now, supporting their Business Administration apprentices — and it’s been a pleasure to see the partnership grow.
They currently have one Business Administration apprentice who is doing an amazing job and has become a real asset to the team. We’re also excited to see Cappagh continue to expand by recruiting for a Content Creator apprentice, creating even more opportunities for future talent.
We’re incredibly grateful to Cappagh for their generous donation of equipment to the college, which will make a real difference to our learners. Overall, this has been a fantastic partnership built on collaboration, support, and shared goals.
We look forward to continuing and strengthening our partnership with Cappagh in the future!
