What's covered?

This course is aimed at those who would like to

-Develop their knowledge of standard IT hardware and software Keyboard and Mouse skills, printing and Microsoft Windows 7 -Develop their knowledge of a range of different software applications such as Word Processing with Microsoft Word Spreadsheet Software with Microsoft Excel Presentation Software with Microsoft PowerPoint -Develop their ability to manage documents and data in a variety of applications Using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office -Progress by developing skills and knowledge required for the next level.

What do you need?

This is a natural progression from the range of our entry level courses. Alternatively, the student should be able to prove knowledge to an ICT Level 1 standard. The course tutor will be able to advise on this.

How you are assessed

There are three assignments that will be assessed by means of class-based assignments. The three assignments cover word processing, spreadsheets and presentations where you will be expected to create files from datasheets and carry out some editing on the created files.

How Long?

This course takes place once a week for 3.5 hours a session, over a 17 week period.
