What's covered?

All Apprenticeships consist of a Framework of different elements. They must include qualifications that, when achieved, prove the Apprentice's competence in carrying out work of the Level and type identified in the Framework. Also included must be qualifications which demonstrate the technical knowledge of the job and industry, plus more wide ranging general skills required to operate successfully in the trade; these will include Maths, English and, if appropriate, ICT and Employer Rights and Responsibilities.

The different elements can be combined in one qualification, or be covered in separate qualifications, but all elements must be achieved to obtain a full Apprentice Certificate. Apprentices must achieve one knowledge module or vendor/ professional qualification from each of the three sections in the list below. Knowledge Module 1: Principles of Coding or MTA HTML 5 or CIW- Site Development Associate Knowledge Module 2: Marketing Principles or CIW -Internet Business Associate Knowledge Module 3:Digital Marketing Business Principle or CIW - Data Analytics or CIW - Social Media

What do you need?

Individual employers will set the selection criteria, but this is likely to include five GCSEs, A Levels, a relevant Level 2 Apprenticeship or other relevant qualifications and experience; or an aptitude test with a focus on functional maths. Employers are likely to be looking for a proven passion for digital and social media.

How you are assessed

Fully equipped computer rooms to meet the needs of all the Training Provider Actions. Employer support working in conjunction with the assigned training provider assessor to provide opportunities for Technical competencies in Communication, Research, Technologies, Data, Customer Service, Problem Solving, Analysis, Implementation and Digital Analytics.

The primary role of a digital marketer is to define, design, build and implement digital campaigns across a variety of online and social media platforms to drive customer acquisition, customer engagement and customer retention. A digital marketer will typically be working as part of a team, in which they will have responsibility for some of the straightforward elements of the overall marketing plan or campaign. The marketer will work to marketing briefs and instructions. They will normally report to a digital marketing manager, a marketing manager or an IT Manager.
