What's covered?

This course will help you develop as a professional, self-reflecting individual able to meet the demands of employers in the business sector and adapt to a constantly changing world.

You will cover the following Core and Specialist Units over the two-year programme:

Level 4 (120 credits) Semester 1 Business and the Business Environment

Human Resource Management
Leadership and Management
Semester 2 Accounting Principles
Managing a Successful Business Project Innovation and Commercialisation
Managing the Customer Experience

Level 5 (120 credits) Semester 1 Research Project (Pearson Set)
Organisational Behaviour
Understanding and Leading Change
Global Business Environment
Semester 2 Principles of Operations Management
Business Strategy International marketing

What do you need?

A minimum of a L3 qualification in any discipline and C in English & Maths (a Pass in international qualified English & Maths is acceptable).

How you are assessed

You will be assessed through a range of coursework designed to help you develop academic and professional skills.

How Long?

2 years full-time (over 2.5 days a week).

What course next?

This course will prepare you for entry into the workplace, a higher Apprenticeship or direct 'top up' entry into the final year of many University Business Honours degree programmes.

What could this lead to?

Successful completion of the HND in Business can lead to careers such as a Business Manager, Business Development Manager, Business Advisor, Office Manager, Retail Manager, Sales Manager, Business Consultant or General Manager. The course will also provide you with knowledge and skills towards the Accounting, Human Resource, Marketing and Operations fields.
