Working with you
We believe in developing strong links with parents, carers and guardians is critical to ensuring students are well supported during their time at the College. On this page you will find lots of useful information and links to other areas of our website which will help you support your young person and keep you up to date with their progress.

Supporting student learning, health and wellbeing
We want our students to succeed. In order to help them get the most out of their time here at college and to help them achieve their best academically we have developed a comprehensive programme that supports their studies, their health and their wellbeing.

Big White Wall
The Big White Wall is a free mental health resource for students. It’s an anonymous online community, monitored 24/7 by trained clinicians, providing peer-to-peer support, resources for self-management, information for advice, plus guided support programmes.

Parent Portal
The Parent Portal provides parents/carers with online access to student reports, attendance information and reporting student absences. Logins are sent to parents at the start of the academic year. Any issues or problems should be directed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Tutoring
All full time students are allocated an individual personal tutor. As well as helping keeping your student on track with their studies, their personal tutor will also play a central role in supporting their college experience. They are the first point of contact for any problems relating to your student’s course or concerns inside and outside of the College. Their role is to provide support and guidance and help students access other services if necessary.

Financial Support
We have a number of bursary and loan schemes in place to support students (subject to eligibility) with the costs of compulsory books, trips, equipment, fees, childcare and travel. Some students will also be entitled to Free College Meals. We also offer a range of travel subsidies for both train and bus companies. For more information on financial support and travel schemes email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Safeguarding
We have robust safeguarding procedures and policy in place to ensure students feel safe and secure, know how to request and receive effective help if they are in danger and learn how to keep themselves safe (including online).

Should your child have any worries or about someone they know, or have concerns about issues inside or external to the College they can contact the Safeguarding Team by email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by calling:
