This is a course for those who have completed a Spanish GCSE course and wish to continue improving their language skills in a structured way.

During the course, you will gain an enhanced understanding of appropriate language forms and should be able to express most of your needs, wishes, opinions and feelings in everyday situations with confidence and fluency.

By the end of this course, you will able to understand the main news items on Spanish TV and in the press. The class is taught in the target language. Students on this course re not required to take any exams or formal assessments.

What will I study?

The aim is to develop language skills in an occupational or more general context. The components include working with documents related to occupational or more general activities: translating, drafting, responding and summarising. Conversation in the setting of occupational or more general activities.

By the end of this course you should feel able to express in an appropriate register most of your needs, wishes, opinions and feelings in situations related to vocational/occupational or more general activities. You will have a wider knowledge of some advanced linguistic structures and an increased vocabulary.
