What is Land-based engineering?

Although farming and food production is a major focus, the land-based engineering industry extends into everything from the countryside and forestry to sports grounds and open spaces. This qualification could start you off on the first steps on your journey to an exciting and rewarding career.

Additional skills you will develop in this course are teamwork, working the outdoors, problem-solving and analytical and IT skills. You will also be able to develop employability skills alongside gaining confidence in becoming an independent learner.

Land Based Training Courses

These courses aim to meet the needs of the local and regional workforce by delivering a wide range of programs in identified priority sectors. We also offers short-course commercial provision through their Land-based Training, catering to individuals looking to upskill in these areas. The curriculum is designed to incorporate cross-cutting themes of leadership and management, digital literacy, and numeracy, ensuring learners develop well-rounded skills.
