Course Overview

This course is for those who need to improve on their skills to be able to communicate with the deaf community, either professionally or personally. The course is designed to help enhance your introductory skills, as well as give an insight of the structure of the language, the importance of hand shapes, visual expressions and deaf awareness with all types of hearing loss.

This course is designed to improve your basic principles of British Sign Language (BSL), and to present methods of effective communicating with people who are profoundly deaf, have a hearing loss or who are sign language users.

The course includes lots of group and pair work which can also greatly help with increasing your personal confidence. It is recommended that you practise your skills between the lessons
