Level 5 Apprenticeship Specialist Teaching Assistant

For January 2026 we are offering a Level 5 Apprenticeship Specialist Teaching Assistant programme.

This programme has three routes:

  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities specialist teaching assistant
  • Social and Emotional wellbeing specialist
  • Curriculum provision specialist teaching assistant

This apprenticeship is available to students who are currently working in a school or college who wish to gain a Level 5 qualification without going through the traditional University route and without incurring a student debt.
