Course Overview

It is never too late to fill in any gaps left by your education. Our part-time maths courses are a great opportunity to improve your numeracy skills in a friendly and supportive environment. All our courses are government funded up to L2 or GCSE grade 4.

We offer maths courses at the following levels:

• GCSE
• Functional Skills Level 2
• Functional Skills Level 1
• Functional Skills Entry Level

Our courses are delivered in the mornings, afternoons and evenings.

GCSE maths is 3 hours per week and is tailored to meet the requirements of Edexcel GCSE Mathematics. The course has a Foundation tier (grades 1-5) and a Higher tier (grades 4-9). The subject content includes Number, Algebra, Ratio and Proportion, Geometry and Measures, Probability and Statistics.

The Functional Skills maths courses are for 2.5 hours per week and will cover number skills, shape and space, ratio, measurement, area and volume, percentages and data handling.

So whether you want to study maths to help develop your skills for progressing in your career or to help your children, we may have a course for you.

Course information

Our courses run for up to 35 weeks over the college year.

You will work towards achieving a formal qualification. Your teacher will discuss how you are assessed.

Learners are encouraged to build their skills and knowledge so that they can get a job, promotion or access higher level courses.
