Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (Online)

In this course, you will look at types of assessment, the role and responsibilities of the assessor, legislation relating to assessment and considerations to be made when planning assessment. You will also learn about different ways of involving learners and others in assessment, the importance of quality assurance and how to track and monitor assessments. Other topics covered include giving feedback, using technology in assessment, CPD, and other good practice in relation to assessment.

Unit 1: Understand the principles and requirements of assessment
Unit 2: Understand how to plan assessment / understand how to involve learners and others in assessment
Unit 3: Understand how to manage information relating to assessment
Unit 4: Understand the legal and good practice requirements in relation to assessment / understand quality assurance of the assessment process

On average 30 hours. Maximum time allowed will be 12 weeks from the date you are first enrolled.

This remote online learning course allows you to study around your commitments and in a cost-effective way, studying on the go or in your own home and at a time that suits you. You will have the freedom to revisit areas of the course as little or as much as you like using online learning materials that you can study at your own pace.
