The aim of this course is to learn about how to be safe online and how to be a good digital citizen. You will learn about how to know if information is real and what you can safely share online. Taking photos and editing them is a big part of this course and you will learn all about how to do this. You will also learn about safe communication online and using social media.

Course information
This course is aimed at creating a level of awareness around the pitfalls and issues that accessing social media can bring especially to those who are more vulnerable.
Students will also be given the opportunity to work with multimedia, developing their IT skills. This course will also help enhance the student’s communication and employability skills.
34 weeks from September to June
Students will be guided through different tasks each week, working independently and in groups to achieve a greater understanding.
Students will all follow a Learning Criteria delivered over the year, assessments will be through tutor lead practical, classroom based activities and observations in class.
