Course Overview

Students will learn how to manage the welfare of some of the animals onsite at BCA. This is a practical hands-on course although students will complete learning activities aimed at enhancing their skills and knowledge before attending to the animals.

This knowledge and experience will assist students who are thinking of working with animals in the future.

Entry Requirements

Students will have guided learning on differentiated levels from Entry 1 – To level 1. Learning materials and targets will reflect this in class.

Course information

Students will learn how to manage the welfare of some of the animals onsite at BCA. This is a practical hands-on course although students will complete learning activities aimed at enhancing their skills and knowledge before attending to the animals.

You must be happy to spend time outside in all weathers.

36 Weeks From September 2023 to July 2024

This is a practical hands-on course although students will complete learning activities aimed at enhancing their skills and knowledge before attending to the animals.

Students will all follow a Learning Criteria delivered over the year, assessments will be through tutor lead practical, classroom based activities and observations in class.

All of our courses are aimed to support students develop their employability skills and life skills. Where courses are set a different levels you may which to progress onto the higher level the following year.
