Agriculture at BCA

Employers within the agricultural sector require a high level of practical ability and sound theoretical knowledge, which we at BCA are able to equip apprentices with in order to achieve successful employment or to progress on to further study.

The College has a diverse campus to meet the needs of a variety of land-based studies. Within its 400-acres of land, there are commercial sheep flock and rare breed flocks, alongside a small herd of cattle, poultry, pigs, goats and camelids. The aim of these resources is to enable apprentices to utilise their theoretical knowledge gained on the course in a practical setting so that they are equipped upon completion of the course to undertake the care and management of these species in a commercially viable environment.
