VOTE FOR WINDSOR FOREST AT UPRISING AWARDS

News overview

We are proud to announce that Windsor Forest Colleges Group has received four nominations at the prestigious Edufuturists Uprising26 Awards.

Congratulations to Roddy Peters, Juliana Valadares Saili, and Tim Mace, who have each been shortlisted, alongside the College Group itself.

The Uprising Awards recognise educators and organisations that are transforming learning, championing an education system that is future-focused, inclusive, and far from one-size-fits-all. Winners are decided by public vote – cast your vote here.

Skills Development Champion Nominations

Roddy Peters and Juliana Valadares Saili have both been shortlisted in the Skills Development Champion category, in partnership with Canopy.

This award honours individuals who are driving forward skills development and ensuring educational outcomes align with the evolving needs of the future workforce.

Juliana reflected on her nomination:

“I am deeply honoured to be shortlisted for the Edufuturists Uprising26 Awards in the Skills Development Champion category.

This journey began in my ESOL classroom at Slough & Langley College, where I first explored how AI could support learners navigating new language, new systems, and complex lives. I quickly saw that, when used thoughtfully, AI can act as a bridge – helping students explain, practise and extend their learning with growing independence and confidence.

I am especially delighted to be shortlisted alongside my inspirational colleague Roddy Peters, and to see Tim Mace recognised in the Outstanding IT Professional category. I am also incredibly proud that Windsor Forest Colleges Group has been shortlisted for College of the Year.”

Outstanding IT Professional Shortlist

Tim Mace has been nominated for Outstanding IT Professional, in partnership with ANME.

This award recognises individuals or teams who advance education through exceptional IT support, ensuring technology is seamlessly integrated into the learning experience.

College of the Year

Windsor Forest Colleges Group has also been shortlisted for College of the Year, in partnership with Edulink One. The Group will compete against four other colleges for this prestigious title.

This accolade celebrates institutions that lead the way in pioneering educational practices and technology, equipping students with the skills and confidence to thrive in tomorrow’s world.

Roddy Peters, Group Head of Digital Skills, said:

“Wow, what a blistering set of nominations, we’re absolutely delighted that the college has been recognised in this way. The Edufuturists mission to champion innovation, and spark transformation is so close to our hearts, this is a real honour.”
