We are thrilled to announce the grand reopening of ‘The Pod,’ our college snack bar, which is now officially back in business at Slough & Langley College thanks to the incredible hard work and dedication of our Foundation students.
After being closed for many years (since before the pandemic), the Foundation department has been given the fantastic opportunity to take over and manage the space. Our students and staff have poured weeks of effort into this project, taking charge of everything from deep cleaning the entire area to designing a brand-new logo and setting up a welcoming, professional retail environment for all.
This new venture provides our students with an invaluable, real-world opportunity to run their own business and develop essential skills in customer service, teamwork, and retail management.
To start, The Pod will be open every Tuesday at lunchtime. The long-term plan is to train more students and expand the opening hours to every lunchtime, making it a new hub for the college community.
