What's covered?

This course aims to provide training in a variety of advanced holistic skills which will enhance your opportunities for employment within the beauty industry. Upon completion, you will be qualified to join the industry as a beauty therapist if you have completed both Levels 2 and 3 and you can seek employment in a variety of situations, e.g. health and leisure centres, hotels, cruise liners, airlines and beauty clinics.

The beauty skill areas covered include:

  • Providing body massage treatments
  • Providing Indian head massage treatments
  • Providing body electrical treatment
  • Working with colleagues
  • Health and safety
  • Client care and communication
  • Promoting and selling products
  • Hot stone therapy
  • Providing facial electrical treatments

You will also cover:

  • Health and safety
  • Contributing to the planning and implementation of promotional activities

What do you need?

You need to have successfully completed a Level 2 beauty therapy qualification. You will be interviewed and must demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to the course, supported by school reports and references.

How you are assessed

All subjects will be integrated and delivered through practical and theoretical teaching. Assessment of practical, oral and written work will take place throughout the course. You will have opportunities to carry out treatments in the commercial salons.

What course next?

You will be qualified to join the industry as a beauty therapist if you have completed both Level 2 & 3 and you can seek employment in a variety of situations, e.g. health and leisure centres, hotels, cruise liners, airlines and beauty clinics. The College provides a range of further beauty and complementary therapy courses or opportunity for Higher Education to refresh and update your skills and enable progression.
