Course Overview

This course is designed for students who have passed Level 2 that have a basic working knowledge of hairdressing. Once completed the hairdresser will be able to perform more technical service with skilled techniques and have knowledge to tackle problems.

The course consists of theory and practical work. The student will need to complete 8 units.
The course covers all aspects of advanced cutting, styling and colouring, including some aspects of colour correction. You will have the opportunity to produce and take part in a Catwalk show / competition.

-Cut women’s hair
-Style and dress hair
-Colour hair
-Design Skills
-Perm hair
-Colour Correction

Entry Requirements

Level 2 in Hairdressing. GCSE Grade D in English and Maths
Adequate literacy skills are required.

Course information

You will be given the opportunity to work on real clients in the commercial salons. Theory will be assessed with online tests throughout the course. There will be some home study on this course. Customer service skills and practical skills will be developed with the work experience opportunities in the commercial salons at the college.
