The SEG Awards Level 2 Award in Counselling Concepts is a fast-paced and intensive course that introduces learners to key counselling theories, develops an understanding of the counselling context, and provides opportunities to practise and demonstrate counselling skills.
The course also aims to strengthen verbal and written communication skills while helping learners understand the nature of counselling and how it differs from other helping relationships. It provides a solid foundation in counselling and is ideal for individuals considering a career change or wishing to develop practical skills to support others effectively. Throughout the course, learners will improve their self awareness, gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and their personal development.
This is the first stage to becoming a qualified counsellor and enables progression to our fast track Level 3 Certificate in Counselling. This means levels 2 and 3 can be completed in one academic year, in readiness for level 4 in the following September.
