What will I study?

This course covers: health & safety; pipe bending; soldering; fundamental principles of plumbing; assembling frames from copper; Low Carbon Steele (LCS); push fit, introduction to plumbers’ tools.

How will this course be delivered?

Two-thirds of this course consists of practical classes delivered by experienced tutors with a trade background in fully equipped workshops. Theory-based classes are delivered in college classrooms. Where necessary, classes are occasionally delivered virtually.

How will I be assessed?

You are continually assessed through practical assignments and course work.

What qualification will I get?

Level 1 BPEC Diploma in Plumbing Foundation

Does the course include any work placements?

Strong introduction to plumbing foundation, and opportunity to go out on a one week industry placement.
