A BTEC Level 3 qualification in Computing, Business or Creative Digital Media Production Or A GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or adequate performance in more than one GCE subject.
This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A* to C (or equivalent) and/or 9 to 4 (or equivalent) in subjects such as maths and English. Other related Level 3 qualifications or an Access to Higher Education Diploma from an approved further education institution
The course includes modules in the following subjects:
Digital Technologies, Cyber Security and Cloud Networking, Software Development and Programming, Data Analytics, Games and Animation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions and Applications, Web and Content Management, Business Analytics and Change Management

The course is for two academic years and will be based on classroom study and there is an expectation of self-study that includes research.
Assessment is through a series of assignments and projects (individual and group based) which makes a 100% of the grade. The grades in each subject unit are shown as:

You have to organise your time efficiently, be highly motivated, astute and be able to invest at least 20 hours a week of self-study.

After studying a Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Digital Technologies students will have a sound understanding of the principles in their area of specialist study and will know how to apply those principles more widely in the area of digital technologies. They will be able to perform effectively in their specialist area.
