Course Overview

If you already have a basic knowledge of French, this course will develop your skills to include the present, past and future tenses and a significantly increased vocabulary. The course is classroom based and has a strong emphasis on speaking and listening skills.

This stage is for those who have already studied the language for about 1 year and have a basic knowledge of French. The aim is to develop further the basic linguistic skills already acquired in the four skill competencies.

Course information

You will learn the language for:

Receiving visitors
Arranging meetings
Hobbies and pastimes
Telephone and written communication
Talking to the doctor
Day-to-day routines, etc.
Talking about past & future events

2 hours per week, 30 weeks

This leads to the Level 1 Award in Speaking and Listening French (ABC Awards)

You will take a series of assessments in the skills of Speaking and Listening.
