A 3-Hour MS Excel Beginner Course – This course is designed for individuals new to Microsoft Excel who want to learn the basics. No experience is needed!
This course is taught at the Slough & Langley College campus in Langley, Berkshire, with access to industry-standard facilities and industry-experienced tutors.

Basic command of the English Language
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
★ Open and close Excel &Create a new sheet
★ Enter and edit text and numbers in cells
★ Use simple formulas (like adding and subtracting)
★ Format cells (change colour, text size, borders
★ Insert and delete rows or columns
★ Save and name your work correctly
★ Create simple charts (bar, pie, line)
★ Use AutoSum to quickly add numbers
★ Understand rows, columns and cell references
The tutor will tailor the session to meet individual learner needs, focusing on the key Excel skills they want to develop and how they intend to use them in everyday life.
3 hours
The course will be delivered face-to-face in a computer room at the college.
No written exams – just practical, supportive learning
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a college certificate.
Once you have completed this workshop, you will be ready to progress to an intermediate or advanced MS Excel course, or another IT workshop from our programme.
