The course will develop individuals’ knowledge and skills across a range of disciplines which develop an in-depth understanding of how optimum sporting performance can be achieved. This is designed for individuals who are keen to develop their own sporting performance or those who want to pursue a career developing elite athletes. For BTEC Level 3 courses students must have a minimum of 4 GSCEs grade 9-4 (A–C) which may include 1 BTEC and either GCSE English or GCSE Maths at grade 4 as appropriate for chosen courses.
Specific entry requirements: Grade 4 in GCSE Maths or GCSE English and a Merit in BTEC Level 2 Sport or a Grade 4 in GCSE PE if taken
All of the units are internally assessed in a range of types and styles adapted to suit the qualification. These may include written reports, presentations, journals/logs etc.
