Marion Brown recently received the Teaching and Learning Excellence Award from Reading University Student Union. Marion, who instructs in our Foundation Degree in Children’s Development and Learning at BCA, was nominated by her students for her outstanding contributions to their education.
Students praised Marion’s dedication, citing her exceptional teaching and unwavering support. One student remarked, “Marion goes above and beyond for the students by providing excellent teaching and always encourages great discussion in her sessions. She is highly knowledgeable and always responds quickly to any queries. She is also extremely reassuring and helpful when students struggle with anything.”
Upon receiving the award, Marion expressed gratitude, stating, “It is such an honour to be recognised by my students for doing a job I love.” She emphasized the privilege of witnessing students grow academically while balancing their degree studies with practical work in early years or primary school settings. Marion Brown’s recognition not only celebrates her individual achievement but also highlights the supportive and enriching environment fostered within our educational community.
