A College Group to be Proud of: Our Ofsted Success

News overview

As the Group Principal of Windsor Forest Colleges, I am delighted to share the news of our recent Ofsted inspection, where Langley College, Strode’s College, Windsor College, and BCA were all graded ‘Good’ across the board, with a ‘Strong’ judgement grade in skills. This achievement reflects our collective commitment to our students and our communities and I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who has played a part in this success.

Our amazing staff’s professionalism and commitment have been pivotal. Your efforts have nurtured a positive and supportive learning environment that empowers our students to achieve their best. Our students, with their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm for learning, are the heartbeat of our thriving college group. You embody our ethos, and your success propels us forward.

Our strong partnerships with employers and stakeholders ensure our curriculum remains industry-relevant and enhances our curriculum contributing directly to our students’ employability and success.

In just over 18 months since our merger, we have grown together as a young college group with four distinct colleges, each with a strong identity and specialisms that cater to the local and regional needs of our communities.

BCA stands out with its land-based identity, offering a supportive environment for vulnerable students and broadening its curriculum to meet local economic needs.

Windsor College shines as our creative hub, deeply integrated into Windsor’s heart. Here we foster independence, resilience, and ambition among our students, supported by significant investment in new technology and industry partnerships.

Strode’s College is celebrated for its inclusive academic culture, urging students to dream big and supporting their aspirations with a blend of traditional and innovative programmes of study, including the introduction of T-Levels to address local and regional skills gaps.

Langley College is the centre of the community, focusing on student-centred learning and engagement, overcoming challenges to learning and achievement with high levels of student significant student retention and progression improvements post-merger.

Our Ofsted success is a milestone in our ongoing journey of improvement. We remain committed to enhancing our curriculum, supporting our students and meeting the future needs of local and regional industries with innovation and resilience.

Thank you, once again, to our staff, students, employers, and stakeholders. Together, we will continue to build on our successes and make the Windsor Forest Colleges Group a beacon of educational excellence and innovation.
We all feel incredibly proud – Welcome to a future filled with opportunity at the Windsor Forest Colleges Group.
