Skills Bootcamps are 60 hour / 8-day training programmes, which are substantially funded by the Department for Education (DFE), as part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee. SME organisations (under 250 employees) contribute £300 VAT exempt towards the training. Large organisations (over 250 employees) contribute £900 (VAT Exempt) towards the training and Sole Traders are 100% funded, provided they are ICO registered.
This programme trains individuals working in domestic environments to install, service, and maintain ventilation systems. It covers accurately determining ventilation needs for properties and provides skills in design, installation, testing, commissioning, handover, servicing, and fault-finding, following National Occupational Standards.
Pre-requisites: There are no formal pre-requisites for this course; however an appreciation of the requirements for a typical ventilation system is an advantage.
This training programme for experienced heating installers (gas, LPG, solid fuel, oil, or biomass) focuses on low-temperature heating and hot water systems in domestic and small commercial properties, including Part L building regulation changes. It provides knowledge and practical skills for installing and maintaining efficient Heat Pump Systems.
Pre-requisites: Trainees must hold an N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing (or relevant field) or CCN1 and CENWAT, if gas qualifications are held, along with Water Regulations and Bylaws.
