The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Technical Occupational Entry for Early Years Practitioner. (Diploma) has been designed to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of babies and young children from birth to 7 years, with applied knowledge in the early years (birth to 5 years).
It also provides introductory sector knowledge of professional practice to support wider contextual understanding of the early years practitioner route, which provides learners with transferable employability skills.

This is a full-time study programme, and you will be required to be in college all week and attend a practical placement for the duration of the course and this will be in an early year setting to show competence in both skills and knowledge.
Course information
It covers a wide range of areas, including the Roles and responsibilities of the Early Years practitioner, as well as the Health and safety of babies and young children in the early years.
Equality, diversity, and inclusive practice in early years settings, Safeguarding, protection, and welfare of babies and young children in early years settings.

Support the planning and delivery of activities, purposeful play opportunities, and educational programmes.

This is a full-time study programme with one day placement in a nursery setting
There are 14 mandatory units in this qualification, and it will be internally assessed using a range of methods, which could include direct observation within the workplace, professional discussion, written assignments, or tasks such as designing a leaflet or booklet, charts or diagrams.
