The aim of this course is to participate in a Dance and Movement programme exploring different styles of dance to increase movement vocabulary. We will use our movement vocabulary to learn how to choreograph and teach elements of our class. Participating in Dance and Movement will improve physical, personal, social and communication skills, resulting in performing to our community.

Course information
Activities will vary each session and we will ask the students for their feedback on what they would like to try.
Dance styles which could be covered include – Ballet, modern, Jazz and Contemporary dance.
34 weeks from September to July
Courses are structured with easy to follow instructions and demonstrations. The time is split into manageable tasks with regular breaks and opportunity for social interaction. Students are encouraged to work independently and with others.
You will need to dress in clothes that you can move in and bring plenty to drink.
Students will all follow a Learning Criteria delivered over the year, assessments will be through tutor lead practical, classroom based activities and observations in class.
All of our courses are aimed to support students develop their employability skills and life skills. Where courses are set a different levels you may which to progress onto the higher level the following year.
