Each month, we will be celebrating the employers who support our apprenticeship programmes. In this article, we will be highlighting a standout organisation that demonstrates exceptional commitment to training, mentoring, and providing real-world opportunities for our students.
This month we spoke to the team at The Bridge Clinic.
How has having an apprentice/apprentices in your team improved it?
We have found it a real breath of fresh air having apprentices as part of our team. They have brought a proactive approach to their work, quickly picking up new tasks and adapting well to different areas of the business. We’ve also found them to be flexible and reliable, being able to work additional hours when needed.
In your opinion, what do you think makes a successful apprentice?
Commitment, drive and initiative.
What do you think of Laura, the skills coach who works with you and your apprentice?
Laura is amazing. It has been great having one skills coach for all of our apprentices as it means we have built a good relationship with her. Laura is very good with the apprentices, setting the work, marking it in good time and scheduling regular visits.
Why do you think doing an apprenticeship is the right choice?
We have felt that our apprentices have been able to offer the flexibility that is required along with the commitment and ability to work in a number of different departments. They have also been able to work well with all of our IT packages and on even teach us a thing or two.
