One day a week in college and a mandatory one day a week in placement.
There are 16 mandatory units in this qualification, and it will be internally assessed using a range of methods, which will include practical observation, professional discussion, written assignments, or tasks such as designing a leaflet or booklet.

In school, you will learn transferable skills like communication, leadership, and organisation, and you may gain subject specific knowledge for a particular career pathway.
On completion, learners can progress onto the following job roles: teaching assistant, assistant teacher
classroom assistant, learning support assistant, specialist curriculum support
Learners can progress onto higher education qualifications in teaching and learning, early years education or special educational needs.
