Content Summary:
● Recap of essential Word features (brief review)
● Using styles, headings, and themes for consistent formatting
● Creating and customising tables
● Inserting and formatting images, shapes, and SmartArt
● Using headers, footers, page numbers, and section breaks
● Working with templates and document design tools
● Track changes, comments, and review tools
● Advanced page layout: columns, margins, orientation
● Mail merge basics (labels or letters)
● Practical task: produce a formatted, multi-page document using advanced features
The tutor will adapt the session to reflect learners’ individual needs, focusing on the key Word processing skills they wish to develop and how they plan to use them in everyday situations.

3 Hours

The course will be delivered face-to-face in a computer room at the college.

No written exams – just practical, supportive learning.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a college certificate.

Once you have completed this workshop, you will be ready to progress to an intermediate or advanced MS Word course, or another IT workshop from our programme.
