Whilst at the College, it is important that alongside your studies, that you think about your next steps. Alongside your curriculum teachers, personal tutors and other key staff, the Careers and Employability teams offer a range of support to help you with researching, planning and implementing your chosen career path.

Whether you are considering higher education, further education, employment, work experience and apprenticeship or other training scheme, we are here to help.

Our careers and employability advisors are highly qualified and the College holds the Matrix Quality Standard for Information, Advice and Guidance. This means you can expect to receive a high standard of advice and support that is confidential and impartial.

Up to date Labour Market Information can help students in deciding their future career by providing information on what is happening in industry sectors and the anticipated future demand. To access the LMI for All tool click here.

Our qualified, experienced and impartial team can support you with a range of areas including:

Understanding choices and decisions relating to your next steps
-UCAS and university personal statement guidance and support for current and former students
-Open day and taster course information
-Information about course funding, finance and bursaries
-Support with finding volunteering or work experience opportunities
-Information about gap years and opportunities to study abroad
-Finding apprenticeships and jobs

Other activities that support students throughout their college journey include:
-Visits to and promotion of specialist events
-Onsite careers fairs and activities
-Focussed workshops to support and develop understanding, such as CV skills and job clubs
-Guest speakers and employers on a range of topics including student finance, employment, apprenticeships and university applications.
