The new 2020/21 Strode’s and Windsor College’s sixth form course guide is out! And with the autumn open days fast approaching there’s time to explore the exciting range of courses in the guide before seeing the impressive facilities in person. Pick up a copy and pre-register for the Windsor Open Day on Tuesday 22 October and the Strode’s Open Day on Thursday 24 October to get fast-track entry on arrival www. www.windsor-forest.ac.uk/opendays.

Windsor College has announced that their 2020 programme includes some exciting new additions including Graphics, Games and 3D Design. This Level 3 course is ideal for those looking to move into web, animation or advertising-based digital industries. Windsor has also added Criminology, a Level 3 BTEC where students focus on the impact of crime and criminal behaviour and the College’s renowned Performing Arts Departments is now offering UAL (University of the Arts London) courses. Here students can choose between either the Level 2 Performing and Production Arts or the Level 4 (which is Higher Education level) Professional Diploma in Performance.

Over in Egham, Strode’s College, which is already the largest provider of A Levels in north west Surrey, is adding Level 3 Applied Psychology to its comprehensive range of Level 3 and 2 BTECs.

Commenting on the changes to the 2020 course programme Rowan Cookson, College Principal said: “These exciting new additions mean both Strode’s and Windsor Colleges continue to offer students exceptional choice when it comes to selecting either A Levels, BTECs or a combination of the two. Coupled with impressive A Level results (98% pass rate at Strode’s and 95% at Windsor) and a flawless 100% BTEC performance, students considering either of these colleges can expect a dynamic, rich and meaningful sixth form experience.”

Going on to explain how the Colleges are delivering better results including high grade passes and impressive university offers including Oxbridge and Russell Group institutions Ms Cookson continues: “Strode’s and Windsor proudly offer something different. Against a culture of quality, academic rigour and personal support, we treat students as young adults, giving them independence to mature and academically flourish. This is proving to be the ideal stepping stone between school and university.”
