What's covered?

If you know somebody who has recently moved to the UK or needs help with their written and spoken English language skills, this is the course for them.

You will learn to read and write simple English. You will learn about living in Britain, travel, shopping and other interesting topics.

On this course learners consolidate their reading and writing skills through reading a range of text, vocabulary building and sentence construction. There is an emphasis on word order, spelling and building skills within everyday contexts ranging from 'Introductions' to 'Work'. Additionally learners build upon their speaking and listening through exercises, discussion and role-play. Basic numeracy (numbers) is embedded and skills such as telling the time, form-filling and personal organisation are emphasised.
