What's covered?

It is never too late to fill in any gaps left by your education. This is a great opportunity to build your number skills at your own pace and in a friendly and supportive environment. So whether you want to learn just for yourself, to help with your career, or to help your children, this is for you.

Courses are tailored to meet the requirements of the Awarding Organisation and the individual needs of the learners on the course. Courses will cover, according to need, number skills, shape and space, ratio, measurement, area and volume, percentages and data handling.

What do you need?

Learners are required to complete initial and diagnostic assessments as well as a piece of free writing prior to the start of the course.

How you are assessed

This course leads to formal accreditation at level 1.

How Long?

The course runs for two/three hours, day or evening, usually for 35 weeks over the college year.

What course next?

Learners are encouraged to build their skills so that they can get a job, get a promotion or progress on to the next level of Functional Skills.
