What's covered?

Do you enjoy all aspects of English, including learning how people communicate both in speaking and writing? Are you looking for a balanced course where you can analyse spoken language, journalism, biography and travel writing, as well as literary works.

What do you need?

There is an entry requirement of five GCSEs at grade 4 and above, including English Language at grade 4 or above.

How you are assessed

The course is delivered through classroom- based activities, lectures and seminars with particular emphasis on class discussion and shared ideas on texts. Independent student study is also required.

How Long?

AS one year/ A2 a further year

What course next?

Grade D and above at AS level leads to A2 English Language and Literature.
