What's covered?

A practical course where you will learn to recognise different historical styles, develop a portfolio and sketchbook which will include drawings, room surveys, layouts, mood and sample boards. The course entails elements of visual research, sampling, colour scheming, drawing, plans and elevations, and principles of good practice in interior design.

What do you need?

You will need to have an interest in design and have a creative flair. Some drawing equipment will be required, advice will be given on entry to this course.

How you are assessed

This course contains some lectures and demonstrations and is mainly practical. During the course you will build a portfolio of work and gain experience of Interior Design and Styling. Work will be verified internally. There is an option to gain accreditation through the British Display Society for an additional cost of £25 approx.
