What's covered?

BTEC Higher Nationals are designed to provide a specialist vocational programme with a sector related emphasis. Core units such as research skills , contextual studies and art and design business, will be complimented by specialist units in visual communication, graphics, 3D design as it applies to retail display,(visual merchandising). You will build a portfolio of work representing your ability to create themed window or exhibition designs for you to pitch at interview.

What do you need?

A related extended diploma in creative studies or A-level art. A demonstration of an on-going commitment to art & design practice or extensive previous industrial experience.

How you are assessed

Through personal critique and display of completed units assessed against grading criteria of Pass, Merit and Distinction.

How Long?

2 years

What course next?

BA degree.

What could this lead to?

A degree top-up or employment within the creative industries as a display designer, or spatial/interior designer.
