What's covered?

BTEC Nationals are widely recognised by industry and higher education as the vocational alternative to A Levels. We offer two options - the Extended Certificate (equivalent to 1 A Level) or the Diploma (equivalent to 2 A Levels). The new content reflects the demands of employers and universities and has a mixture of internal and external assessment.

What do you need?

Strode's College General Entry Requirements plus grade 4 in Maths or English GCSE.

How you are assessed

A mixture of coursework and exams. If you are studying the Extended Certificate you will complete two exams and two assessments using coursework. If you undertake the Diploma you will undertake three exams and five coursework units.
