What's covered?

Do you want to improve or maintain your overall flexibility in a relaxing environment? Do you want to reduce stress levels through breathing and relaxation practices? If so, then this course is ideal for you. The yoga class is suitable for everyone including complete beginners, focusing on stretching to improve flexibility and core strength. The class will also include yoga breathing techniques and a guided relaxation/meditation. The course will cover the principles of Yoga; each session will include Postures (asanas), breathing (pranayama) and relaxation practices.

What do you need?

No previous knowledge, skills or experience needed. Any health conditions will need to be declared at the start of the course. You will need a Yoga mat. We have some for sale.

How you are assessed

The weekly sessions have a range of practices; this varies to the needs and abilities of the group. The sessions will always include postures, breathing, and relaxation practice. There is no extra work outside of the class, however if you want to enhance the benefits you get from Yoga you can practice at home. If you feel you need more guidance with your home practice, come and talk to your tutor.
